# First payment

You're all set up! Now let’s initiate your first payment using GreenBanana’s BNPLx API.
This guide walks you through a basic payment request using your authenticated API key.

Prerequisites
Before you start, make sure you have:

* A configured BNPL connector in your dashboard
* Your API keys (secret key for server-side calls)
* Basic understanding of REST APIs
* A tool to make HTTP requests(We use Postman).

## First Payment call

Step 1: Create a Payment
Refer to the [Your First Payment](/api-reference/guide/payments--create) in our API Reference for complete details. Here's the basic flow:

**API Endpoint**
`POST {{url}}/payments`

Step 2: Confirm the Payment
If your payment requires customer confirmation (status: pending\_auth), use the confirm endpoint:

**API Endpoint**
`POST {{url}}/payments/{payment_id}/confirm`
